MUSIC FOR ORCHESTRA
David Roche has written extensively for orchestra. His own prize-winning orchestral compositions have been performed across the world by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Brazilian National Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Orion Orchestra, Orchestra Dolomiti Symphonia, and many other. He is a multi-award winning composer of international scope.

Acoustical Anatomy (2017-2018)
Commissioned by the Orion Orchestra / Dyson
First Prize 2017-2018 Orion Orchestra / Dyson Composition Competition
First performed 18/02/2018 by the Orion Orchestra at Cadogan Hall, conducted by Toby Purser. This project received a social media coverage of approximately 5 million people, with the promotional video coverage receiving over 150,000 views. The project was reported on by over 15 different journalistic outfits internationally including a double page spread in the London Evening Standard and an article the The i. Sir James Dyson described the work as ‘bold, exciting, and beautiful’.
My Mind Directs My World (2017)
Written as part of Sound and Music's New Voices 2017
First performed 13/09/2017 by the London Graduate Orchestra, conducted by Claire Lampon as part of a Sound and Music Portfolio Residency. The composition was completed over the process of 2 workshops and 2 rehearsals.
FOR ORCHESTRA AND SOLOIST
David Roche's works for soloist and orchestra have been performed all over the world... except for the UK (something he's going to rectify in 2021-2022. Pieces such as VALE are built to accommodate a wide arrange of solo instruments - so make sure you check it out!
